OCCAC PROVIDES NUTRITIONAL EMERGENCY FOOD SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES VIA THE OPERATION OF A FOOD DISTRIBUTION CENTER BY COORDINATING THE PURCHASE AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD COMMODITIES TO VARIOUS COUNTY FOOD BANKS. OCCAC ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF NUTRITIONAL VALUES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.
OCCAC PROVIDES SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES BY UTILIZING HEATING AND ENERGY ASSISTANCE, EMERGENCY SHELTER, EDUCATION AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT COUNSELING TO INCREASE INDIVIDUAL'S CAPACITY TOWARD SELF SUFFICIENCY.

OCCAC PROVIDES HOME REPAIR AND WEATHERIZATION SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES INCREASING HOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY,EVALUATING HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS THAT INCLUDE LEAD-PAINT RISK ASSESSMENTS AND LEAD-PAINT EDUCATION. THIS WORK RESULTED IN IMPROVED LIVING CONDITIONS FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WHILE DECREASING THEIR ENERGY COSTS AND IMPROVED THE HOUSING STOCK AVAILABILITY FOR COMMUNITIES IN OKANOGAN COUNTY.
