WEST END ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION RECEIVED A 3-YEAR GRANT FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION TO ASSIST WITH THE TRANSITION FROM A COAL-AFFECTED COMMUNITY RELIANT ON EXTRACTION SERVICES AND ASSIST AREA BUSINESSES WITH THE TRANSITION OR REDEVELOPMENT OR OPERATIONS. DESIGNED TO ASSIST WITH ALL FORMS OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDED TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR BUSINESSES TO LOCATE AND GROW WITHIN THE REGION. INCLUDES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE AS WELL AS HOUSING PROJECTS AND TOWN GOVERNMENTS BOARD TRAINING. GRANT FUNDS SALARIES FOR 3 YEARS; FINAL YEAR OF GRANT.
