COMMUNITY THREADS PROVIDES HOPE, OPPORTUNITY AND SUPPORT THAT EMPOWERS WOMEN AND CHILDREN AS THEY JOURNEY FROM HOMELESSNESS TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

COMMUNITY THREADS PROVIDED CASH GRANTS OF $126,000 TO ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE ASSISTING UNDER-RESOURCED INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY. FUNDING FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND PASTORAL TRAINING WAS ALSO PROVIDED. IN THE FUTURE, COMMUNITY THREADS WILL FOCUS ON SUPPORTING WOMEN AND CHILDREN AS THEY JOURNEY FROM HOMELESSNESS TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS THROUGH HOME OF THE SPARROW BY THE MERGER OF OUR TWO ORGANIZATIONS AS OF JUNE 30, 2019. WE ALSO PROVIDE NUMEROUS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE WHO NEED TO FULFILL COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS AS WELL AS MANY INDIVIDUALS FOR WHOM VOLUNTEER SERVICE IS THERAPEUTIC FOR THEMSELVES. COMMUNITY THREADS VOLUNTEERS COLLECTIVELY SERVED OVER 25,000 HOURS IN THE PAST FISCAL YEAR.
