WE WORKED WITH 7 FAMILIES, CONSISTING OF MOTHERS AND DEPENDENT CHILDREN TO ATTAIN SAFE AND PERMANENT HOUSING, FINANCIAL STABILITY THROUGH EMPLOYMENT, BUDGETING, WORKING TOWARDS PERSONAL GOALS, AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH NEIGHBORING VOLUNTEERS. THIS WAS ACHIEVED WITH THE HELP OF STAFF TRAINED UNDER BRIDGE OF HOPE'S NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE SPECIALIST CASE MANAGER TRAINING. NEW NEIGHBORING VOLUNTEER GROUPS FROM LOCAL CHURCHES UNDERWENT THE STRANGERS TO NEIGHBORS TRAINING AS WELL AS A CULTURAL HUMILITY/ANTI-RACISM TRAINING. WE IMPLEMENTED A MORE EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS FOR ALL NEIGHBORING VOLUNTEERS. WE CARRIED OUT ORGANIZATION-WIDE PLANNED EVENTS FOR FAMILIES, CHILDREN, NEIGHBORING VOLUNTEERS, BOARD AND STAFF TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, LEARN NEW SKILLS, AND CELEBRATE LIFE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE YEAR.
