THE BUREAU HAS CONTINUED AND ENHANCED ITS EFFORTS TO MAKE GREAT FALLS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA A VACATION, EVENT, AND CONVENTION DESTINATION WHICH, IN TURN, CONTRIBUTES TO THE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL GROWTH OF THE AREA. THE BUREAU HAS INTENSIFIED ITS EFFORTS TO INCREASE YEAR-ROUND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM REVENUES THROUGH EFFECTIVE MARKETING, PROMOTION, AND ON-LINE PRESENCE. THROUGH EFFECTIVE PROMOTION, TOURIST ACTIVITY CONTINUES TO CONTRIBUTE TO STATE TAX COLLECTIONS AND SUBSEQUENTLY TO THE BUREAU'S SHARE OF THOSE COLLECTIONS.
