OUTREACH FOR MEMBERSHIP AND DETAILING PLANS FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEMONSTRATION. RESULTED IN FOUR NEW MEMBERS AND INCLUSION OF THE DBDC IN SEVERAL GRANT PROPOSALS, NONE OF WHICH HAVE BEEN AWARDED AS OF YEAR-END. DBDC HAS ALSO BEEN RECOGNIZED BY US AND INTERNATIONAL BODIES FOR THEIR INITIAL WORK IN FURTHERING RESEARCH OF BOREHOLE DISPOSAL OF NUCLEAR WASTE. LONG TERM GOAL IS STILL A FULL-SCALE DEMONSTRATION OF DEEP BOREHOLES FOR THE DISPOSAL OF NUCLEAR WASTE.
