TECHNICAL SUPPORT: THE SC DDGG PROVIDED TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO PUBLIC LEAS AND SCHOOLS IN SOUTH CAROLINA BY DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING CODE FOR EDUCATIONAL DATA SYSTEMS, OFFERING TECHNICAL ADVICE, CONDUCTING TRAINING ON DATA GOVERNANCE AND BEST PRACTICES, AND ASSISTING WITH STRATEGIC PLANNING AND INTEROPERABILITY STANDARDS.
LEA PARTNERSHIPS AND SHARED RESOURCES: SC DDGG DIRECTLY SUPPORTED DISTRICTS BY DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING CODE FOR DIVERSE EDUCATIONAL DATA SYSTEMS, OFFERING EXPERT TECHNICAL GUIDANCE TO DISTRICT PERSONNEL, CONDUCTING TRAINING ON DATA GOVERNANCE AND BEST PRACTICES FOR BOTH DISTRICT AND SCHOOL STAFF. WE ALSO WORKED TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT INTEROPERABILITY STANDARDS ACROSS EDUCATIONAL AND OPERATIONAL DATA SYSTEMS. FURTHERMORE, WE FACILITATED PARTNERSHIPS AMONG DISTRICTS TO ENABLE SHARING OF RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE.
LIAISON WITH STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION: THE SC DDGG SERVED AS A POINT OF CONTACT BETWEEN DISTRICTS AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, WORKING TO ENSURE THAT DATA POLICIES ALIGN WITH STUDENT INTERESTS AND PROVIDING FEEDBACK ON DATA AND SYSTEM CHANGES.
