TO SUPPORT THE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN THE HENDRICK HUDSON SCHOOL DISTRICT AND PROVIDE THEM WITH ENRICHING EXPERIENCES IN AND OUT OF THE CLASSROOM.

THE AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR FOUR SESSIONS. THE COURSES OFFERED ARE FUN FILLED AND CREATE WONDERMENT FOR CHILDREN. THE EXPERIENCES OFFER THE CHILDREN A CHANCE TO EXPLORE A VARIETY OF INTERESTS LIKE LEGOS GAMING PHYSICAL FITNESSS ART SEWING NATURE HABITAT AND MORE.
THE PTA HOSTS A SCHOOL STORE MAJORITY OF FRIDAYS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE STORE ALLOWS STUDENTS TO PURCHASE ITEMS RELEVANT TO LEARNING AS WELL AS FUN ITEMS. THE MATHEMATIC SKILLS STUDENTS LEVERAGE HELP THEM TO COMPUTE THE CASH EXCHANGE. WE ALSO RUN A HOLIDAY SHOP TO ALLOW STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE ITEMS FOR THEIR LOVED ONES. THE LESSON OF GIVING TO OTHERS IS ONE THAT IS INSTILLED.
THE PTA RUNS A VIRTUAL SILENCT AUCTION WITH DONATED ITEMS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS SERVICES OFFERED BY OUR SCHOOL STAFF. THE PROCEEDS ARE USED TO PAY FOR ASSEMBLIES FIELD TRIPS IN HOUSE VISITS TEACHER GRANTS FOR SUPPLIES FOR THEIR CLASS.
