MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE COMMUNITY-BASED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT WITH NEWLY ARRIVED IMMIGRANTS IN THE GULF SOUTH. OUR APPROACH LEVERAGES THE POWER OF RELATIONSHIP AND COMMUNITY TO FOSTER PERSONAL CONNECTIONS THAT BECOME THE BASIS FOR LASTING INDIVIDUAL, COMMUNITY, AND SYSTEMIC CHANGE.

HOME IS HERE RECEIVED 165 REFERRALS FOR SUPPORT FOR HOUSING, LEGAL AID, SPONSORSHIP, AND/OR COMMUNITY SUPPORT. 80 PEOPLE WERE DIRECTLY CONNECTED WITH RESOURCES FOR HOUSING, LEGAL AID AND LONG-TERM COMMUNITY SUPPORT. THE ORGANIZATION CULTIVATED RELATIONSHIPS 30 NEW PARTNERS RANGING FROM LEGAL IMMIGRATION SERVICE PROVIDERS,COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS OR GROUPS TO INCREASE CAPACITY FOR DIRECT SERVICE SUPPORT FOR HOUSING, LEGAL AID AND/OR SYSTEMS NAVIGATION. HOME IS HERE CREATED A NETWORK OF OVER 380 ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH AND IN SUPPORT OF NEWLY ARRIVED IMMIGRANTS. ADDITIONALLY, IT ENGAGED IN THOUGHT LEADERSHIP AND CONVENED MULTIPLE TRAININGS AND SEVERAL COMMUNITIES OFPRACTICE FOR SHARED LEARNING AND COLLABORATION WITH PARTNERS ACROSS THE U.S. TO BUILD INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY-BASED SYSTEMS WITH NEWLY ARRIVING IMMIGRANTS, IN PARTICULAR WITH TRANS/LGBTQIA+ IMMIGRANT LEADERSHIP ON THE SPECIFIC LONG-TERM HOUSING AND SUPPORT NEEDS FOR THIS COMMUNITY.
