IT IS DEDICATED TO ENGAGING AND INFORMING THE PUBLIC OF THE CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC VALUE OF PROTECTING RESOURCES, ENCOURAGING HERITAGE TOURISM OF HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT SITES, ASSISTING IN THE REHABILITATION OF HISTORIC PROPERTIES, IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS AND ISSUES, FORMULATING ANSWERS AND STRATEGIES, AND INITIATING PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS TO ENSURE THE CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF THE HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT SITES.
