SINCE FORMATION, AMIP HAS WORKED TO CREATE AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE THAT WILL ALLOW IT TO ACHIEVE ITS EXEMPT PURPOSES. AMIP HAS DEVELOPED PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE OHIO MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION (OMA), AND HAS ENTERED INTO A FISCAL SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH OMA. IT HAS ALSO, THROUGH OMA, APPLIED FOR GRANTS FROM THE STATE OF OHIO.FOCUSING ON OHIO, KENTUCKY AND INDIANA, AND IN PARTICULAR THE GREATER CINCINNATI METRO AREA, AMIP SEEKS TO SERVE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. AMIP WILL WORK WITH EMPLOYERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO ACTIVELY ENGAGE IN MULTIPLE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING INITIATIVES TO TARGET STUDENTS, TEACHERS, PARENTS, ADMINISTRATORS AND COUNSELORS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION REGARDING MODERN MANUFACTURING, MANUFACTURING'S ROLE IN THE COMMUNITY, OPPORTUNITIES FOR WELL-PAYING JOBS, AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION WHILE RAISING AWARENESS OF ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHWAYS.THIS WILL INCLUDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO GAIN INDUSTRY RECOGNIZED CREDENTIALS AND PARTICIPATE IN INTERNSHIPS THAT MAY LEAD TO FULL-TIME JOBS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SPEAKER ENGAGEMENTS, SCHOOL EVENTS, COMPANY TOURS, TEACHER EXTERNSHIPS, AND MANUFACTURING DAY EVENTS. THESE EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE ACROSS SOUTHWEST OHIO, NORTHERN KENTUCKY, AND SOUTHEASTERN INDIANA IN SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES AND CIVIC SPACES.
