THE ALLIANCE THROUGH ITS NATIONWIDE NETWORK OF LOCAL CHAPTERS WORKS TO STRENGTHEN, SUPPORT, AND STABILIZE FAMILIES THROUGH A) KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE DURING A FAMILY CRISIS SUCH AS HOMELESSNESS, HOSPITALIZATION, OR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN AN EFFORT TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, B) SUPPORTING AND STABILIZING FAMILIES IN CRISIS BY SURROUNDING THEM WITH CARING COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY, AND C) REUNITING FAMILIES AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN ENTERING THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM.
