WORKFORCE/INFRASTRUCTURE - SUPPORTING OUR MEMBERS IN OUR SHARED UNDERTAKING TO EXPAND CAPACITY OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM THROUGH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND CAPACITY BUILDING SERVICES. WE ALSO WORK WITH OUR PARTNERS TO SUPPORT THE FIELD AT LARGE TO DO THIS.


COMMUNICATIONS - ENGAGING WITH OUR MEMBERS, OTHER PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS,MEDIA, AND FEDERAL POLICYMAKERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH AND HEALTH EQUITY AND THE INNOVATIVE WORK OUR MEMBERS DO. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS - COMMUNICATING WITH POLICYMAKERS ABOUT HOW BEST TO SUPPORT THE WORK BIG CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS DO TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE PUBLIC'S HEALTH. MEMBERSHIP- BCHC SUPPORTS OUR MEMBERS' WORK TO PROTECT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE 61 MILLION PEOPLE THEY SERVE IN A VARIETY OF WAYS. WE ARE THE SHARED VOICE RAISING UP STORIES TO CONGRESS, FEDERAL AGENCIES, AND OUR NATIONAL PARTNERS. OUR MEMBERS CONVENE IN-PERSON (TWICE ANNUALLY) AND VIRTUALLY (TWICE MONTHLY) TO EXCHANGE STRATEGIES, BEST PRACTICES, AND CHALLENGES FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY.


URBAN HEALTH AGENDA - IMPLEMENTING OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC HEALTH THROUGH WEBINARS AND OTHER CONTENT RELATED TO THE CONCEPTS ARTICULATED IN OUR URBAN HEALTH AGENDA.


EQUITY/RACIAL JUSTICE - ARTICULTING WHAT HEALTH EQUITY AND RACIAL JUSTICE LOOKS LIKE IN A PUBLIC HEALTH CONTEXT AND ENCOURAGING WORK, PRIMARILY AMONG OUR MEMBERS, TO ADVANCE HEALTH EQUITY AND RACIAL JUSTICE IN URBAN COMMUNITIES.
