Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO - IN CLOSE PARTNERSHIP WITH SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, WE GATHERED DIVERSE STAKEHOLDERS TO CO-DESIGN A PORTRAIT OF A GRADUATE, A VISION FOR WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN DURING THEIR TIME IN SCHOOL. WE OPERATED A FAMILY LEADERS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM WHERE AN ADDITIONAL 25 FAMILY MEMBERS LEARNED HOW TO SUPPORT THEIR STUDENTS AND WORK FOR EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS. FOR INTERESTED FAMILY LEADERS, WE HOSTED GATHERINGS TO ORGANIZE AROUND THEIR NEW EFFORTS TO IMPROVE EDUCATION. WE ALSO MET IMMEDIATE NEEDS FOR THE DISTRICT, INCLUDING FACILITATING EDUCATORS TO DESIGN THEIR IDEAL EDUCATOR APPRECIATION EFFORT AND MAKING THAT EFFORT A REALITY.

RAVENSWOOD - WE WORKED CLOSELY WITH RAVENSWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DESIGN AND PREPARE FOR A COMMUNITY-LED VISIONING PROCESS TO BE LAUNCHED IN THE FALL OF 2023. THIS RESULTED IN ESTABLISHING THE RIGHT PARTNERSHIPS AND BOARD APPROVAL OF THE PARTNERSHIPS AND APPROACH. WE ALSO HELPED THE DISTRICT MEET IMMEDIATE NEEDS, INCLUDING CANVASING TO SURVEY FAMILY MEMBERS AND DEVELOPING A VIDEO TO SUPPORT RECRUITING TALENTED LEADERS.

COMMUNITY EXPLORATION - WE CONTINUED TO ENGAGE SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT COULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR OUR PROGRAMS AND IDENTIFIED VALUES AND GOALS ALIGNMENT WITH OAK GROVE DISTRICT. WE ARE CONTINUING TO EXPLORE LAUNCHING WORK WITH THEM IN EARLY 2024.
