NUEVA VIDA, LOCATED AT 411 S. COURT STREET IN FORT COLLINS, IS HOME TO OVER 300 RESIDENTS REPRESENTING 68 HOUSEHOLDS (200 ADULTS AND 100 CHILDREN), WITH A POPULATION THAT IS 90% SPANISH-SPEAKING.

UNITED NEIGHBORS/VECINOS UNIDOS (UN/VU) WAS FORMED IN 2021 TO SUPPORT NUEVA VIDA (FORMERLY PARKLANE) MOBILE HOME PARK RESIDENTS TO PURCHASE THE PARK, MAINTAIN ITS AFFORDABILITY, AND ESTABLISH A RESIDENT OWNERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE MODEL. NUEVA VIDA BECAME ONLY THE SIXTH MOBILE HOME PARK IN THE STATE TO MOVE TO RESIDENT GOVERNANCE/OWNERSHIP AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. THIS WAS THE RESULT OF A RIGOROUS COMMUNITY ORGANIZING EFFORT LED BY AND FOR RESIDENTS. THE ROLE OF THE UN/VU BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS TO SUPPORT WHAT THE RESIDENTS OF NUEVA VIDA WANT TO ACHIEVE FOR THEIR COMMUNITY, NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. CURRENTLY, UN/VU IS FOCUSING ITS EFFORTS ON INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AND COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE.
