THE ORGANIZATION HAS ACQUIRED ONE HYDROPONIC SHIPPING CONTAINER FARM THAT CAN BE USED TO PRODUCE LOCAL CROPS (SUCH AS LETTUCES, LEAFY GREENS, HERBS, ETC.) 365 DAYS A YEAR. THE ORGANIZATION WILL USE THE FREIGHT FARM AS A HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER TO PROMOTE ALTERNATIVE AGRICULTURAL AND FARMING TECHNIQUES THAT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED IN UNDERSERVED AREAS WHERE IT IS DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN FRESH FOOD. THE ORGANIZATION PLANS TO COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO STUDENTS THROUGH THE OPERATION OF THE FREIGHT FARM.
