THE MAT-SU ARCTIC WINTER GAMES ARE COMING TO ALASKA THE MAT-SU ARCTIC WINTER GAMES HOST SOCIETY WAS FORMED AFTER THE BID WAS AWARDED BY THE ARCTIC WINTER GAMES INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE TO HOST THE GAMES IN THE REGION. THE MAT-SU 2024 ARCTIC WINTER GAMES WILL UNITE AND CELEBRATE OUR COMMUNITY WHILE CONNECTING US TO OUR NORTHERN NEIGHBORS. OUR MISSION IS TO SHARE THE SPIRIT AND BEAUTY OF THE MAT-SU BY HOSTING A WORLD-CLASS EVENT THAT PROMOTES HEALTHY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EMPOWERS FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH SPORT AND CULTURE. OUR VALUES ARE ROOTED IN OUR CALL TO ACTION RISING STRONG AFTER SEVERAL CHALLENGING YEARS, WE LOOK FORWARD TO GATHERING AS A COMMUNITY AND CELEBRATING OUR VALUES WHICH INCLUDE; RESILIENCE, INCLUSIVITY, STRENGTH, AND EXCELLENCE. TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE 2024 ARCTIC WINTER GAMES TO BE HELD IN THE MATANUSKA SUSITNA VALLEY. PROVIDE FOR THE HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, AND FEEDING OF PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING THE REQUIRED VENUES FOR THE SPORTING EVENTS.
