YOUTHLINC EXISTS TO CREATE LIFETIME HUMANITARIANS THROUGH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICE AND TO PROVIDE EXTRACURRICULAR SUPPORT TO LOCAL MARGINALIZED YOUTH POPULATIONS.

SERVICE YEAR AND GLOBAL COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP: YOUTHLINC SENT 294 VOLUNTEERS ABROAD LAST YEAR TO DO SERVICE IN 9 COUNTRIES AND 15 VILLAGES. WE HAD OUR FIRST PROGRAM GO TO INDIA IN 2023 AND LOOK FORWARD TO EXPANDED IMPACT THERE. OUR VOLUNTEERS DID 118,960 SERVICE HOURS IN UTAH AND INTERNATIONALLY IN 2023. WE ALSO ESTABLISHED PRELIMINARY NEW PARTNERSHIPS IN CUBA AND ECUADOR FOR FURTHER EXPANSION IN 2024.


REAL LIFE: REAL LIFE IMPACTED OVER 400 REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT YOUTH IN SALT LAKE COUNTY, PUTTING TO WORK 110 VOLUNTEERS AND 10 INTERNS. REAL LIFE CONTINUED TO HAVE PARTNERSHIP SITES WITH SALT LAKE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, ASIAN ASSOCIATION OF UTAH, PROMISE SOUTH SALT LAKE, AND UMOJA GENERATION. REAL LIFE ALSO AWARDED 25,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO FIRST GENERATION AMERICANS TO HELP THEM WITH THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS.


3.YOUNG HUMANITARIAN AWARD: YOUTHLINC AWARDED 32,000 (THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE OFTEN PAID OUT IN LATER YEARS WHEN THE STUDENTS BEGIN ATTENDING COLLEGE) IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2023 TO 10 FANTASTIC HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS FROM UTAH. THESE STUDENTS WERE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AROUND THE STATE. YOUTHLINC RECEIVED 72 APPLICATIONS AND PUT TO WORK 34 VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US CARRY OUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROGRAM.
