FCIA CONFERENCES:FCIA HOLDS SEVERAL INDUSTRY CONFERENCES EACH YEAR. THE "FCIA EDUCATION AND COMMITTEE ACTION CONFERENCE" IS HELD ANNUALLY. THIS PROGRAM GIVES FCIA COMMITTEES A CHANCE TO MEET FACE TO FACE, ALLOWING GROUPS TO PRODUCE VARIOUS PROGRAMS TO BENEFIT FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY THROUGH FIRESTOPPING. EDUCATION PROGRAMS ON CODES, SPECIFICATIONS, INSURANCE, NEW TRENDS, HIGH PROFILE PROJECTS, LEGAL AND OTHER TOPICS ARE PART OF THE CONFERENCE. THE "FCIA FIRESTOP INDUSTRY CONFERENCE" FEATURES SIMILAR EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AN INDUSTRY TRADE SHOW, AND SMALL GROUP PRESENTATIONS ON FOCUSED TOPICS.
CODE COMMITTEE:WORKS WITH VARIOUS INFLUENCES IMPORTANT TO THE FIRESTOP INDUSTRY TO MONITOR THE REQUIRED USE OF FIRESTOPPING IN THE MODEL BUILDING CODES, PROVIDE PROPOSALS WHEN NECESSARY, AND TESTIFY AT CODE HEARINGS TO PROMOTE FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY IN THE INDUSTRY.STANDARDS COMMITTEE:WORKS WITH ASTM AND OTHER GROUPS ON VARIOUS STANDARDS WRITING ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE QUALITY INSTALLATION PROCESSES THAT PROTECT FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY.
