IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, PROJECT READ SERVED 100 STUDENTS. PROJECT READ ADDED MATH AND DIGITAL LITERACY INSTRUCTION TO THE READING AND WRITING INSTRUCTION IT HAS TRADITIONALLY OFFERED. DURING FY2022, PROJECT READ TRANSITIONED TO USING THE COMPREHENSIVE ADULT STUDENT ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (CASAS). 100 PERCENT OF THE PROJECT READ STUDENTS WHO WERE RETESTED USING THE CASAS INCREASED THEIR SKILLS IN EITHER READING OR MATH (80 PERCENT OF THOSE RETESTED ACHIEVED A LEVEL GAINA 1.0 GRADE-LEVEL EQUIVALENT (GLE) INCREASE IN EITHER READING OR LANGUAGE), AND THE AVERAGE GAIN WAS 1.9 GLE. IN ADDITION, PROJECT READ ALSO ADDED A DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAM THIS YEAR USING CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENTS FROM NORTHSTAR DIGITAL LITERACY. IN FY2022, 75 PERCENT OF PROJECT READS LITERACY STUDENTS ACHIEVED AT LEAST ONE LITERACY-RELATED GOAL. SOME OF THE GOALS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROJECT READ STUDENTS IN FY2022 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 3 ENTERED EMPLOYMENT, 39 RETAINED EMPLOYMENT, 7 IMPROVED EMPLOYMENT/RECEIVED A RAISE, 11 MADE PROGRESS ON A READING ASSESSMENT, 7 MADE PROGRESS ON A MATH ASSESSMENT, 14 ACHIEVED LEVEL GAINS, 3 PASSED THE TOEFL/IELTS, 5 ENTERED POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION/TRAINING, 2 GOT A GUN/BOW PERMIT, 1 GOT A DRIVERS LICENSE, 5 COMPLETED THE READING INCENTIVE PROGRAM, 12 MADE PROGRESS IN THE READING INCENTIVE PROGRAM, 3 INCREASED INVOLVEMENT IN CHILDRENS EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, 1 IMPROVED WELLNESS AND ATTAINED HEALTHY LIFESTYLES, 12 EARNED A COMPUTER, 3 EARNED BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS CERTIFICATION, 4 EARNED GOOGLE DOCS CERTIFICATION, 1 EARNED INTERNET BASICS CERTIFICATION, 1 EARNED MICROSOFT WORD CERTIFICATION, 1 EARNED SOCIAL MEDIA CERTIFICATION, 1 EARNED USING EMAIL CERTIFICATION, 2 COMPLETED THE PROJECT READ READING PROGRAM, 3 COMPLETED THE PROJECT READ MATH PROGRAM, 3 GRADUATED FROM PROJECT READ, AND 19 ACHIEVED OTHER LITERACY-RELATED GOALS.
