IN 2021, THE PARK CITY CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY WAS CAUTIOUS IN PRESENTING LIVE CONCERTS DUE TO THE PREVALENCE OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS. IT WAS NOT UNTIL APRIL THAT THE SOCIETY BEGAN TO VENTURE OUT WITH A FEW LIVE OUTREACH CONCERTS AT RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES IN SALT LAKE CITY AND A CONCERT AT THE FIELD STATION IN CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK. BY THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER, IN JULY, WE FELT CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO RESUME OUR SIX WEEK BEETHOVEN FESTIVAL SERIES. WE WERE CAREFUL AND PRESENTED MOSTLY OUTDOOR CONCERTS FOR THE PUBLIC. OUTDOOR VENUES WERE THE PARK CITY CITY PARK AND THE MCPOLIN BARN ON HWY 224. THE ONLY INDOOR VENUE FOR THE SUMMER WAS THE ECCLES AUDITORIUM IN PARK CITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PARK CITY INSTITUTE. THE SUMMER SERIES CONSISTED OF THREE CONCERTS PER WEEK. AFTER A SUCCESSFUL SUMMER SERIES WE WERE INVITED BY THE PARK CITY INSTITUTE TO CONTINUE WITH MONTHLY CONCERTS AT THE ECCLES. WE OPTED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE HOLIDAYS TO BEGIN THE SERIES WHICH WE STARTED IN JANUARY 2022.
