THE HAWAII COFFEE FOUNDATION (HCF) IS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION OF THE HAWAII COFFEE ASSOCIATION (HCA), A 501(C)(6) TAX-EXEMPT ENTITY THAT REPRESENTS COFFEE GROWERS, PROCESSORS, RETAILERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WITH SHARED INTERESTS IN HAWAIIAN COFFEE. HCF'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR EDUCATION, COMMUNICATION, AND THE PURSUIT OF SHARED GOALS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO THE SUSTAINED PROFITABILITY OF THE ENTIRE HAWAII COFFEE INDUSTRY.

THE HCF'S PRIMARY ACTIVITY WILL BE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN TO CONTROL COFFEE LEAF RUST IN HAWAII (2020). THE STRATEGIC PLAN CONSISTS OF EIGHT (8) PHASES RELATED TO RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION OF THE CLR INFESTATION AND EVENTUAL ERADICATION AND OTHER SOLUTIONS. THE HCF WILL ENGAGE PRIMARILY IN FUNDRAISING SOLICITATIONS FROM PRIVATE INDUSTRY, AS WELL AS GOVERNMENT GRANTS, TO FUND AND SUPPORT RESEARCH EFFORTS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN.
