LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:WE USE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AS PART OF OUR 4 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LIBERATION BY BUILDING UP THE LEADERSHIP OF IMPACTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO SHARE THEIR STORY AND ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE, SUPPORTING OUR MEMBERS AS THEY BLOOM IN OUR LEADERSHIP GARDEN, HOSTING MEETINGS WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS AND IMPACTED FOLKS TO SHARE THE IMPACT OF DETENTION AND DEPORTATION, AND OFFERING REGENERATE, OUR SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM FOCUSED ON LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND STORYTELLING.


COMMUNITY ORGANIZING:WE USE COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AS PART OF OUR 4 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LIBERATION BY CREATING AN ORGANIZING HOME FOR SOUTHEAST ASIANS PASSIONATE ABOUT ENDING DETENTION AND DEPORTATION, SHARING RESOURCES AND HOSTING EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ABOUT DETENTION AND DEPORTATION, AND INCREASING POLITICAL PARTICIPATION AND VOTER TURNOUT IN THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN COMMUNITY.


DIRECT SUPPORT:WE USE DIRECT SUPPORT AS PART OF OUR 4 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LIBERATION BY SUPPORTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN REQUESTING FORMS AND RECORDS FOR THEIR LEGAL CASES, HOUSING A LEGAL KIOSK FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ACCESS VIRTUAL COURT APPOINTMENTS AND PRO BONO / LOW BONO LEGAL HELP, ACCOMPANYING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO THEIR ICE CHECK-INS, HOSTING KNOW YOUR RIGHTS TRAININGS AND LEGAL CLINICS TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS, SUPPORTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY DEPORTED TO RE-EXAMINE THEIR CASE AND IDENTIFY OPTIONS FOR RETURNING TO THE U.S., AND PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND CULTURAL FOOD FOR SOUTHEAST ASIAN COMMUNITY MEMBERS.


ADVOCACY:WE USE ADVOCACY AS PART OF OUR 4 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LIBERATION BY ADVOCATING FOR POLICIES TO END COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE TWIN CITIES METRO AREA COUNTIES AND ICE, ADVOCATING FOR STATEWIDE LEGISLATIVE CHANGES THAT INCREASE OPTIONS FOR DEPORTATION RELIEF, AND ADVOCATING FOR FEDERAL LEGISLATION DEMANDING U.S. RESPONSIBILITY FOR MILITARY INTERVENTION IN SOUTHEAST ASIA AND ENDING DEPORTATION.
