THE ORGANIZATION IS THE STATEWIDE ASSOCIATION FOR MINNESOTA'S 25 PRIVATE NONPROFIT COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES SERVING ALL 87 COUNTIES. ITS MEMBERS DELIVER MORE THAN 100 DIFFERENT PROGRAMS. TO SUPPORT ITS MEMBERS WORK, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF ADMINISTRATIVE, INFORMATIONAL, ADVOCACY, COMMUNICATIONS AND TRAINING SERVICES TO ADVANCE THE WELL-BEING AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF LOW-INCOME MINNESOTANS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LEADERSHIP FOR ASSET DEVELOPMENT ADVOCACY AND PROGRAMMING SUCH AS INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTS, FINANCIAL LITERACY, AND FREE TAX PREPARATION SERVICES.
