MARY'S HOME FOR MOTHERS FILLS A CRITICAL GAP IN THE NEEDS OF HOMELESS WOMEN WHO ARE IN A CRISIS PREGNANCY BY OFFERING A DIGNIFIED PLACE FOR HER TO GIVE BIRTH AND CREATE A PATH TO A PRODUCTIVE, INDEPENDENT LIFE. WE PROVIDE THE IMMEDIATE AND BASIC NEED FOR OUR MOTHERS. EACH PREGNANT WOMAN IS GIVEN A PRIVATE ROOM, FOOD, PERSONAL HYGIENE SUPPLIES, TRANSPORTATION, AND BABY CARE ITEMS AND WHATEVER SUPPLIES THEY MIGHT NEED FREE OF CHARGE. ST. MARY'S HOME FOR MOTHERS ALLOW UP TO 15 WOMEN TO RESIDE AT THE HOME FOR UP TO TWO YEARS POST-DELIVERY WHILE SHE ACQUIRES VOCATIONAL/CAREER TRAINING, PARENTING, HOME MAKING SKILLS AS WELL AS SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE TO BECOME FULLY READY TO RAISE HER CHILD IN A STABLE HOME ENVIRONMENT.ST. MARY'S HOME USE TIME-TESTED AND EVIDENCE-BASED BEST PRACTICES TO PREPARE EACH WOMAN TO SUCCESSFULLY MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND PARENTING RESPONSIBILITIES, SO THAT SHE CAN FORGE A PRODUCTIVE FUTURE FOR HER FAMILY IN SOCIETY. WE PROVIDE CASE MANAGER FOR EACH MOTHER TO WORK AND UNDERSTAND EACH PERSON'S BACKGROUND AND CHALLENGES. WE HAVE A SUPPORT TEAM THAT WORKS WITH THE MOTHERS TO ACHIEVE THEIR SPECIFIC PARENTING, EDUCATIONAL, EMPLOYMENT, AND HOUSING GOALS.
