TEMPLE FOUNDATION:IN 2021 WE SECURED THE FUNDING FROM THE TEMPLE FOUNDATION, A TEXAS NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION, COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING THE RURAL UNDERSERVED. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THAT GRANT APPLICATION, WE PARTNERED WITH OLIVIA TECHNOLOGIES WHICH HAS A DEVICE WHICH SERVES AS A WIFI ALTERNATIVE FOR STUDENTS WHO MAY HAVE WIFI AT SCHOOL, BUT DO NOT WHERE THEY LIVE (OR IN TRANSITSOMETIMES 1.5-3 HRS PER DAY), AND ARE THEREFORE DISADVANTAGED IN THEIR EDUCATION. IN 2021 WE SECURED FUNDING FOR A PILOT WHICH INCLUDES A SIGNIFICANT STUDY ON ITS EFFECTIVENESS TO BE PERFORMED BY A PROFESSOR AT UT AUSTIN.IN 2022 WE BEGAN DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE WORK BEING DONE UNDER THE TEMPLE FOUNDATION GRANT BY THE TEMPLE FOUNDATION GRANT. OLIVIA TECHNOLOGIES HAS DEPLOYED THE OLIVIA DEVICES IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN RURAL EAST TEXAS. THE PROFESSOR AT UT AUSTIN HAS BEGUN COLLECTING DATA FOR RESEARCH. HUMAN BETTER EDU IS FURTHER DEVELOPING CURRICULA TO BE LOADED ON THE OLIVIA DEVICE, AS THE PREFERRED PARTNER OF SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING CONTENT. IN 2023 WE COMPLETED OUR WORK WITH THE TEMPLE FOUNDATION GRANT. THE PROFESSOR AT UT AUSTIN COMPLETED HIS REPORT, THIRD-PARTY EVALUATION OF THE EAST TEXAS HOME EDUCATION CENTER PROJECT. ONE OF THE PROJECT'S STANDOUT ACHIEVEMENTS WAS THE SUCCESSFUL DEPLOYMENT OF THE OLIVIA EDUCATION PLATFORM AT JOAQUIN ISD IN MARCH 2023, WITH PLANS FOR REDEPLOYMENT IN THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR.COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES WE WERE BACK AT MIT WITH LIFE DESIGN AT MIT, THREE, FULL-DAY, IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS OPEN TO MIT COMMUNITY DURING IAP PERIOD. THIS EXPANDED, BY REQUEST, TO LIFE DESIGN AT MIT CONTINUATION COURSE - A 5-SESSION, WEEKLY COURSE TO DIVE DEEPER INTO WORK FROM IAP WORKSHOPS.
