TO PROVIDE DEEPLY TRANSFORMATIVE, COMPASSIONATE MENTAL HEALTH INTERVENTIONS, INCLUDING CRISIS RESIDENTIAL CARE, FOR HUMBOLDT'S AND THE NORTH COAST'S YOUNG PEOPLE.

SORREL LEAF HEALING CENTER MOBILE RESPONSE TEAM PROVIDES MOBILE RESPONSE TO YOUNG PEOPLE 7-18 WITHIN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CRISIS. SORREL LEAF CARES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN CRISIS FROM A THERAPEUTIC MODEL THAT IS EVIDENCE-BASED, STRENGTH FOCUSED, AND TRAUMA INFORMED. OUR FOCUS IN OUR MOBILE RESPONSE IS ON CRISIS DE-ESCALATION, FAMILY SYSTEMS STABILIZATION, AND ASSESSMENT OF THE CHILD'S MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES IN ORDER TO COOPERATIVELY DETERMINE WHERE THE CHILD'S NEEDS WILL BE BEST SERVED. WE WORK FROM A FOCUS ON THE INNER STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE THAT EACH CHILD POSSESSES TO HAVE COME THIS FAR, AND SUPPORTING THE PILLARS OF SUPPORT AND RESILIENCE IN THE YOUNG PERSON'S LIFE THAT CAN HELP THEM MOVE THROUGH THIS PERIOD OF CRISIS. OUR MOBILE TEAM WORKS TO SUPPORT THE CHILD THROUGH INTENSIVE DE-ESCALATION AND SHORT-TERM THERAPY, AS WELL AS THE FAMILY/CAREGIVERS TO ASSIST THEM IN HELPING THE CHILD THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE. OUR PRACTITIONERS ARE NON-JUDGEMENTAL, PROFESSIONAL AND COMPASSIONATE. REQUEST FOR MOBILE RESPONSE TEAM SERVICES WILL RECEIVE A RESPONSE BY A LICENSED CLINICIAN OR OTHER QUALIFIED STAFF MEMBER WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF INITIAL CONTACT DURING HOURS OF OPERATION.


SORREL LEAF HEALING CENTER PROCURED A PROPERTY THAT, WITH RENOVATION AND RETROFITTING, WILL PROVIDE 12-BED CRISIS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN HUMBOLDT COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS. THE PROPERTY WILL ALSO BE THE SITE LOCATION FOR OUR MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM TO ADDRESS CRISES IN YOUTH BEFORE THEY REQUIRE OUT-OF-HOME CARE.
