LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMS HELP PARTICIPANTS STRENGTHEN INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON MONEY MANAGEMENT, FUNCTIONAL LITERACY, SOCIAL SKILLS, AND SAFE COMMUNITY ACCESS. THESE PROGRAMS OCCUR IN A VARIETY OF SETTINGS: INDIVIDUALS' HOMES, IN THE COMMUNITY, OR AT ONE OF OUR MULTIPLE PROGRAM LOCATIONS.
EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS PROVIDE TRAINING AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES THAT LEAD TO COMPETITIVE OR SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT. FROM JOB SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, JOB PLACEMENT, AND JOB SUPPORT, OSBI JOB COACHES ENSURE SUCCESS AND A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL AND THEIR EMPLOYER.
SOCIAL RECREATION AND FINE ARTS PROGRAMS PROVIDE MUSIC, ART, DANCE, AND FITNESS OPPORTUNITIES TO PROMOTE PERSONAL WELLNESS. WE EMPHASIZE FORMAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS SPECIAL OLYMPICS AND THE NATIONAL HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TO INCREASE OUR IMPACT AND LEVERAGE COMMUNITY RESOURCES.
