JACOBS MISSION PROVIDES FREE OUT-OF-SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO HELP IMPROVE HIGH SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT AND WORKFORCE PLACEMENT TO CHILDREN IMPACTED BY FOSTER CARE THROUGH TUTORING, TRADE SKILLS CLASSES, TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD PROGRAMS, MENTORSHIP, AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.

FREE OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME TRAUMA-FOCUSED PROGRAM SERVING SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED RUPTURED ATTACHMENTS DUE TO THE SEPARATION FROM THEIR FAMILY OF ORIGIN AND CIRCUMSTANCES ASSOCIATED WITH THAT LOSS, AND OTHER AT-RISK POPULATIONS. TUTORING SERVICES ARE RENDERED FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE FALLEN BEHIND EDUCATIONALLY. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ARE PROVIDED TO OFFER HEALING AND JOY. LIFE SKILLS AND MENTORS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUTH CLOSE TO AGING OUT.THEIR PROGRAMS ENCOMPASS A BROAD RANGE OF FOCUS AREAS INCLUDING ACADEMIC SUPPORT, MENTORING, ARTS, DANCE, YOGA, COOKING, BASKETBALL, PIANO, GUITAR, SEWING, HEALTH, POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATIONAL, HOUSING AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AGES 14-19.
