OUR MISSION IS TO ENSURE THAT THE TECH INDUSTRY IS A FORCE FOR JUSTICE IN OUR ECONOMY. WE DO THIS BY EMPOWERING TECH WORKERS TO ADVOACTE FOR STRUCTURAL CHANGE THROUGH PROGRESSIVE POLICY AND CANDIDATE CAMPAIGNS.

THROUGH GRANTS, WE SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: THE TECH, BIAS AND HOUSING INITITATIVE(TBHI). TBHI IS EXAMINING HOW THE HOUSING TECH SPACE MANY HARDCODE ALGORITHMIC BIAS AND INEQUALITY AND WHEATHER HARD-FOUGHT VICTORIES TO PROTECT TENANTS AND EXPAND HOUSING AVAILABILITY ARE UPHELD THROUGH NEW PLATFORMS AND DIGITIAL ADVANCEMENTS. LAUNCHED THE CONTRACT WORKER DISPARITY PROJECT(CWDP). CWDP IS THE NEXT PHASE OF TECHEQUITY COLLABORATIVES RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTING INITIATIVE. THE GOAL IS TO SHED LIGHT ON THE INEQUITIES BETWEEN FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES OF TECH COMPANIES AND CONTRACT WORKERS WHO ARE DOING SIMILAR JOBS BUT PAID LOWER WAGES AND FEWER BENEFITS. GRANTEES ARE RELEASING A SERIES OF PAPERS, SURVEYS AND HOSTING INTERVIEWS AND FOCUS GROUPS WITH WORKERS THROUGHTOUT 2021 AND 2022. THE GOAL IS TO EMERGE WITH A RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTING STANDARD FOR THESE WORKERS AND A PUBLIC POLICY AGENDA TO END THE ARTIFICAL DISPARITIES BETWEEN THESE WORKFORCES.
