SUPPORT FOR THE CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE MOVEMENT: MUTUAL AID MYANMAR PROVIDES FUNDS TO PARTIALLY OFFSET THE INCOME THAT RECIPIENTS GIVE UP BY LEAVING THEIR JOBS AS PART OF THE CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE MOVEMENT. THESE FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR FOOD, HOUSING, MEDICAL EXPENSES, AND OTHER IMMEDIATE NEEDS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
COVID-19 RELIEF: THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC COMPOUNDED THE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN MYANMAR AND WAS COMPOUNDED BY THE MILITARY'S ACTIONS, INCLUDING DETAINING DOCTORS AND SEIZING MEDICAL SUPPLIES. IN RESPONSE, MUTUAL AID MYANMAR RAISED AND DISTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY $30,000 FOR COVID-19 RELIEF.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL FUNDS: MUTUAL AID MYANMAR RAISED AND DISTRIBUTED FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF SEVERAL MEDICAL GROUPS THAT RESPONDED TO MILITARY ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS.
