TOTAL PROGRAM EXPENSES

THE AMCA CONDUCTS SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH THE GOAL OF INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MINORITY-OWNED FIRMS PARTICIPATING IN THE CONSTRUCTION MARKETPLACE. THESE COURSES TRAIN THE MINORITY CONTRACTOR TO BETTER COMPETE AND PERFORM IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS. SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS ARE PROVIDED AT A SUBSTANTIALLY-REDUCED REGISTRATION FEE WHILE MAINTAINING A HIGH LEVEL OF QUALITY AND COMPETENCE. COURSES ARE TAILORED IN BOTH CONTENT AND INSTRUCTORS, TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF CONCERN TO THE MINORITY CONSTRUCTION FIRM. IN MANY CASES, A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM AN AMCA COURSE WILL OPEN THE DOORS TO PREVIOUSLY INACCESSIBLE MARKETS BY ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY TO BID IN CERTAIN FIELDS.

THE AMCA PROMOTES ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR CAPABILITIES THROUGH NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WHICH PROVIDE TIMELY INFORMATION TO MINORITY CONTRACTORS, PROCUREMENT OFFICIALS, AND OTHERS IN THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR WHO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF MINORITY CONTRACTORS AND CAN ASSIST IN THEIR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. THE ORGANIZATION DISTRIBUTES WEEKLY PROCUREMENT BULLETINS, INVITATION TO BID BULLETINS, INFORMATION BULLETINS, QUARTERLY NEWSLETTERS AND LEGISLATIVE BULLETINS.
