CDC/KELLOGG GRANT - COMPLETED A STATEWIDE POLICY TO ACQUIRE NEW LICENSURE FOR NURSES THAT RUN ON AMBULANCE SERVICES TO BE LICENSED AT INTERMEDIATE EMTS TO ALLOW THE NURSES TO ADMINISTER HIGHER QUALITY OF CARE FOR PATIENTS ON THE AMBULANCE WHILE IN ROUTE TO THE HOSPITAL OR DURING TRANSFERS TO LARGER CITY HOSPITALS. THE POLICY IS CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH THE NEW STATE APPROVAL SYSTEM AND SHOULD BE APPROVED BY SPRING OF 2024. NMDOH - HEALTH COUNCIL GRANT - COMPLETED A HEALTH RESOURCE GUIDE FOR THE COUNTY. CTG- HEALTHY KIDS GRANT - COMPLETED ALL NUTRITION CHALLENGES IN 2 OF THE 3 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS - THE FARMERS MARKET WAS SUCCESSFULLY HANDED OVER TO A NEW MARKET MANAGER THE LARGEST PRODUCE GROWER IN THE COUNTY AND SHE APPLIED TO ACCEPT EBT AND IS CURRENTLY BEING TRAINED IN THE STATE DOUBLE UP BUCKS PROGRAM BOTH THESE PROGRAMS WILL ALLOW FAMILIES WITH SNAP BENEFITS TO PURCHASE FROM VENDORS AT THE MARKET. - ASSISTED THE SANTA ROSA SCHOOLS AND THE SANTA ROSA SENIOR CENTER WITH NM GROWN APPLICATIONS BOTH SITES RECEIVED GRANTS TO PURCHASE LOCALLY GROWN FOOD TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR FOOD PROGRAMS.
