THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDED AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO THE ELDERLY THROUGH THE OPERATION OF A 79-UNIT HUD 202 PRAC MULTIFAMILY HOUSING COMMUNITY IN TUCSON, ARIZONA. IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 93 RESIDENTS: 1% UNDER THE AGE OF 62, 77% BETWEEN THE AGES 62-81, 18% BETWEEN AGES 82-93, 2% OVER THE AGE OF 94 AND 2% UNKNOWN. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING DECENT AND SAFE HOUSING FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS, THIS PROJECT ALSO EMPLOYED A FULL-TIME, ON-SITE SERVICE COORDINATOR WHO ASSISTED RESIDENTS WITH OBTAINING A VARIETY OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND AGENCY REFERRALS. IN 2023, RESIDENTS WERE ASSISTED WITH SERVICES INCLUDING: ADVOCACY, BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS, SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE, MEALS, CRISIS INTERVENTION AND SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING, EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY, WELFARE CHECKS, HEALTHCARE SERVICES, FAMILY (CONT'D ON SCH O) SUPPORT AND COMPUTERS AND TECHNOLOGY. THE WELLNESS CENTER MAINTAINED A FULL SCHEDULE OF CLASSES AND RESIDENTS BENEFITED FROM A VARIETY OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS ACTIVITIES.
