PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES LIVING WITH SPINA BIFIDA THROUGH PEER MENTORING SERVICES, NUTRITIONAL AND INDEPENDENCE EDUCATION, ACCESS TO URNIARY CARE SUPPLIES, LIVING FACILITIES, AND ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT.

PROVIDE SUPPORT AND EDUCATION TO INDIVIDUALS WITH SPINA BIFIDA INCLUDING PEER MENTORING, DISCOUNTED FREE URINARY CARE SUPPLIES, ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS. THERE WERE SEVERAL HUNDRED PARTICIPANTS SERVED THROUGH ENRICHMENT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EVENTS DESIGNED TO INCREASE INDEPENDENCE AND PEER MENTORING AMONG MINOR CHILDREN WITH SPINA BIFIDA AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. EDUCATION FOR INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE LOW-INCOME DESIGNATION WAS DELIVERED TO ASSIST WITH EMERGENCY RELAY SERVICES AND BEST PRACTICES SELF-CARE. DURING 2021, WE PROVIDED MEDIC ALERTS, FAMILIES RECEIVED EDUCATION AND SUPPORT, THE UNDER-INSURED ADULTS RECEIVED 3,596 IN MEDICAL SUPPLIES, AND 38,500 IN VANS TO PARAPLEGIC YOUTHS.
