Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
OUR ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING YOUNG GIRLS AGED 5-17, ANNUALLY REACHING OVER 5,000 INDIVIDUALS. HOWEVER, OUR IMPACT EXTENDS BEYOND MERE NUMBERS. WHILE VOLUNTEER-LED TROOPS REMAIN FUNDAMENTAL TO THE GIRL SCOUT MOVEMENT, WE RECOGNIZED THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS MODEL IN ADDRESSING THE EVOLVING NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY. MOTIVATED BY THE BELIEF THAT EVERY GIRL, REGARDLESS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUND OR RISK STATUS, DESERVES EQUAL ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITY, WE INTEGRATED A STAFF-SUPPORTED TROOP DELIVERY MODEL. OUR DEDICATED PART-TIME STAFF MEMBERS CATER TO GIRLS FACING CRISES, THOSE IN FOSTER CARE, DETENTION, WITH AN INCARCERATED FEMALE RELATIVE, AS WELL AS THOSE RESIDING IN RURAL OR IMPOVERISHED AREAS. COMMITTED TO OUR CORE PILLARS OF STEM, OUTDOORS, LIFE SKILLS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP, WE DELIVER THE GIRL SCOUT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE THROUGH A METICULOUSLY CRAFTED CURRICULUM. THIS CURRICULUM ENCOMPASSES HUNDREDS OF TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY SKILL-BUILDING BADGES AND LEADERSHIP JOURNEYS, FOSTERING BOTH 21ST-CENTURY SOFT SKILLS-SUCH AS EMPATHY, COMMUNICATION, PROBLEM-SOLVING, AND RISK-TAKING-AND CONCRETE SKILLS LIKE CODING, JEWELRY MAKING, AND CAR MAINTENANCE. FURTHERMORE, OUR EMPHASIS ON GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP REMAINS STEADFAST. OUR HIGHEST AWARDS-THE BRONZE, SILVER, AND GOLD AWARDS-REQUIRE COMPLETION OF A TAKE ACTION PROJECT. THESE PROJECTS TRANSCEND MERE SERVICE, INCORPORATING ELEMENTS OF MEASURABILITY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND GLOBAL IMPACT TO EFFECT CHANGE BEYOND THE CONFINES OF A GIRL'S IMMEDIATE COMMUNITY. AT 112 YEARS OLD, THE GIRL SCOUTING MOVEMENT AND ITS MISSION CONTINUE TO RESONATE PROFOUNDLY IN TODAY'S WORLD. COUNTLESS GIRLS AND ALUMNAE ARE THRIVING, DEMONSTRATING LEADERSHIP IN THEIR HOMES, WORKPLACES, AND COMMUNITIES, GUIDED BY THE ENDURING VALUES INSTILLED THROUGH THEIR GIRL SCOUTING EXPERIENCES. OUR ORGANIZATION, BOTH LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY, STANDS ROBUST AND RESILIENT, POISED TO SERVE OUR MEMBERS FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
