GIRL SCOUTS OF SAN GORGONIO COUNCIL, THE PREMIER FEMALE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MOVEMENT FOR GIRLS AGES 5 THROUGH 18, SERVES RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES WITH VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN PROGRAMS AND EXPERIENCES THAT INSTILL COURAGE, CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER.

MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: THE COUNCIL OPERATES 5 REGIONAL SERVICE CENTERS AND PROVIDES INTERPRETATION AND CONSULTATIVE SUPPORT TO ENSURE TROOPS ARE ORGANIZED AND MAINTAINED, AS WELL AS VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS AT ALL LEVELS.


ADULT EDUCATION INCLUDES TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FOR TROOP LEADERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERS.


PROGRAM FOR GIRLS: THE COUNCIL IS DEDICATED TO CONTEMPORARY, MULTI-CULTURAL, ENRICHING EXPERIENCES FOR GIRLS. A WELL-ESTABLISHED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM THAT HELPS GIRLS DEVELOP QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP, VALUES, SOCIAL CONSCIENCE, AND CONVICTION ABOUT THEIR SELF-WORTH THAT WILL SERVE THEM ALL THEIR LIVES. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OVER 2,000 COMMITTED ADULT VOLUNTEERS, THE COUNCIL SERVES OVER 6,000 GIRLS IN RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES.


THE COUNCIL OWNS 3 CAMPS TO OPERATE RESIDENT AND DAY CAMP TO DELIVER OUTDOOR PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT ENHANCE AND ENRICH A GIRL'S AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION OF THAT ENVIRONMENT. IN ADDITION, COUNCIL OVERSEES MULTIPLE STAFF AND VOLUNTEER LED DAY CAMPS AT LOCATIONS WITHIN COUNCIL JURISDICTION.
