THE GREATER PHOENIX CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PROMOTES REGIONAL PROSPERITY, SERVING AS A CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC VITALITY AND STRONG COMMUNITIES

REPRESENTING 2,400 BUSINESSES ACROSS THE GREATER PHOENIX REGION, THE GREATER PHOENIX CHAMBER (CHAMBER) PROMOTES REGIONAL PROSPERITY BY SERVING AS A CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC VITALITY AND STRONG COMMUNITIES. THE CHAMBER PURSUES THIS MISSION BY COLLABORATING WITH BUSINESS, POLITICAL, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO CREATE A REGIONAL APPROACH TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND DRIVE A PRO-BUSINESS REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, AN ESTIMATED 650,000 EMPLOYEES OF MEMBER-COMPANIES WERE SERVED BY THE CHAMBER. ADDITIONALLY, THE CHAMBER IS THE LEADING VOICE OF BUSINESS AT THE STATE CAPITOL AND CITY HALL WHERE MEMBER-DRIVEN PRIORITIES GUIDE THE ADVOCACY EFFORTS. THE CHAMBER ENGAGED 250 EMPLOYERS THROUGH 50 PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND ISSUE COMMITTEE MEETINGS. WITH GUIDANCE FROM MEMBERS, THE CHAMBER SUPPORTED 54 BILLS THAT WERE SIGNED INTO LAW AND OPPOSED 23 BILLS THAT WERE DEFEATED. THE ARIZONA ECONOMIC DASHBOARD PROVIDES BUSINESSES WITH CURRENT, MEANINGFUL ECONOMIC DATA AND INFORMATION NEEDED TO MAKE RELEVANT DECISIONS AND KEEP BUSINESSES INFORMED. IN ADDITION, THE CHAMBER PRODUCES THE ARIZONA BUSINESS INDEX, AN EXTENSIVE STATEWIDE CONSUMER SENTIMENT SURVEY THAT PROVIDES A PULSE ON THE KEY INDICATORS THAT DRIVE THE ECONOMY. THE CHAMBER HAS ALSO MADE AVAILABLE TO THE COMMUNITY A DIVERSITY & INCLUSION TOOLKIT TO BE UTILIZED BY COMPANIES AS A STARTING POINT TO BEGIN IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES INTO THEIR BUSINESS. THE FOUR PILLARS OF FOCUS INCLUDE THE ROLE OF CULTURE, UNCONSCIOUS BIAS, ROLE OF EMPLOYEES AND RECRUITING. FINALLY, THE CHAMBER CONNECTS MEMBERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS, ELECTED OFFICIALS, CRITICAL INFORMATION AND OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH RELEVANT EVENTS AND PROGRAMS. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING APPROXIMATELY 85 EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT PROVIDE BUSINESSES ACCESS TO THE STRONGEST PROFESSIONAL NETWORK IN ARIZONA TO BUILD THE CONNECTIONS NEEDED TO HELP BUSINESSES GROW.
