THE FOOD PANTRY SERVED OVER 8,500 INDIVIDUALS DURING THE YEAR, PROVIDING APPROXIMATELY 24,000 POUNDS OF FOOD MONTHLY. FRESH PRODUCE IS OFTEN AVAIALBE. THE PANTRY ALSO PROVIDES DIAPERS AND HYGIENE SUPPLIES. THE AMOUNT OF FOOD GIVEN IS BASED ON FAMILY SIZE.
THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM FOR WOMEN COMING FROM PRISON OR RECOVERY. THE PROGRAM HAS STRICT RULES AND EXPECTATIONS. APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE WOMEN COMPLETE THE PROGRAM AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN INDEPENDENT LIVING ARRANGEMENTS WHEN THEIR PROGRAM IS COMPLETE.
JOBS FOR LIFE IS A CLASS FOCUSED ON SOFT SKILLS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT. EACH STUDENT IS SUPPORTED BY A MENTOR THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM TO WALK ALONG SIDE OF THEM DURING THIS TRANSFORMATIONAL TIME. TWO SESSIONS OF EIGHT-WEEK CLASSES ARE HELD DURING THE YEAR. 70% OF THE GRADUATES SUCCEED IN IMPROVING THEIR EMPLOY,EMT CIRCUMSTANCES.
