UNITED TO PROTECT THE PLATEAU, UPP, HAS PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO READING AND OTHER YOUTH PROGRAMS. UPP WAS ABLE TO ASSIST WITH TECHNICAL INFORMATION REGARDING STATE AGENCIES TO CITIZENS, FOR EXAMPLE HOW AND WHEN TO CONTACT THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION, THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL ETCETERA. UPP HAS ASSISTED CITIZEN'S GROUPS WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO CONTINUE FIGHTING FOR CLEAN AIR, WATER, AND THE PROTECTION OF OPEN SPACES ON THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU.
