EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (ELI) CONTINUED HANDS-ON COACHING SESSIONS IN CHILDCARE CENTER CLASSROOMS TO ELEVATE THE OVERALL QUALITY OF SERVICES PROVIDED TO CHILDREN (AGES BIRTH TO 5 YRS.). CLASSROOM OBSERVATIONS, AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT PLANS, AND COACHING SESSIONS FOR EACH CLASSROOM PROVIDED BETTER CLASS ASSESSMENT SCORES AND PROVIDED A PLATFORM TO CONTINUE ACCREDITING THE CHILDCARE CENTERS. OUR WORK INCORPORATED ACCREDITATION SUPPORTS BY EVALUATING THE SCHOOL NEEDS, ESTABLISHING A NEW STAFF HIRE ORIENTATION SYSTEM, EDUCATOR TRAINING SESSIONS, PORTFOLIO SUPPORT, AND CREATING A CLASSROOM LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. OUR CHILDREN GIVING CHILDREN INITIATIVE PROVIDED LITERACY, WELLNESS, AND ARTS-BASED PROGRAMMING AIMED AT CREATING AN ENRICHING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR PEDIATRIC PATIENTS, CURRENTLY HOSPITALIZED IN BOTH THE ONCOLOGY AND ORGAN TRANSPLANT FLOORS, REQUIRING EXTENDED STAYS, TAILORING THE ACTIVITIES TO SUIT VARIOUS AGE GROUPS AND ACCOMMODATE MEDICAL CONDITIONS REQUIRING A ONE-ON-ONE ACTIVITY IN PATIENT ROOMS. THE EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (ELI) CREATED A COMPREHENSIVE AND ENGAGING PROGRAM TAILORED TO THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF THE CHILDREN. WE INCLUDED A REAL TIME REMOTE ART COMPONENT DURING OUR SCHEDULE HOSPITAL PROGRAMMING WHERE THE PROGRAM IS DONE SIMULTANEOUSLY IN-PERSON AND REMOTELY WITH THE PEDIATRIC PATIENTS TO EXPAND ACCESS. THE REMOTE PROGRAMMING WAS DONE BY YOUTH VOLUNTEERS PROMOTING OUR CHILDREN BY GIVING CHILDREN INITIATIVE. WE HOSTED COMMUNITY FAMILY EVENTS PROMOTING AWARENESS OF CHILDHOOD ILLNESS ALLOWING THE COMMUNITY TO GIVE BACK THROUGH CREATION OF ART INSPIRED CANVAS USED IN OUR HOSPITAL BRAVERY IN A BAG KIT.
