OPENEARTH LAB - AS A REASEARCH AND DEPLOYMENT CLIMATE TECH NONPROFIT, THE OPENEARTH LAB IS WHERE INNOVATION ACROSS ALL PROJECTS OCCURS. THE LAB SUPPORTS COLLABORATION AMONG EXISTING PROJECTS AND IS WHERE NEW INNOVATIVE IDEAS EMERGE THAT WILL HELP OPEN EARTH FOUNCATION MOVE THE NEEDLE IN OUR MISSION AND DEVELOP NEW PROGRAMS.
UN CLIMATE CHANGE GLOBAL INNOVATION HUB - OPENEARTH COLLABORATES WITH THE UNFCCC TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP THE UNFCCC GLOBAL INNOVATION HUB, OR UGIH. LAUNCHED IN GLASGOW'S COP25, THE UGIH PROVIDES A CROSS-DISCIPLINARY COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE WITH BOTH A PHYSICAL AND VIRTUAL HUB TO CONNECT STAKEHOLDERS SEARCHING TO MEET CORE HUMAN NEEDS WITH BEST AVAILABLE CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS. THE KEY AIM IS TO SUPPORT MEETING CORE HUMAN NEEDS WHILE SUPPORTING THE 1.5 DEGREES GOAL OF THE PARIS AGREEMENT.
OPENCLIMATE - OPENCLIMATE IS AN OPEN SOURCE AND DIGITALLY INTEGRATED CLIMATE ACCOUNTING SYSTEM DESIGNED TO HELP THE WORLD ACHIEVE THE EMISSION REDUCTION TARGETS SET IN THE PARIS AGREEMENT. ITS PURPOSE IS TO REMOVE FRICTION IN CLIMATE ACCOUNTING, BY WORKING TOWARDS INTEROPERABILITY BETWEEN DIFFERENT STANDARDS, REDUCING DOUBLE COUNTING AND CATALYZING COORDINATION TOWARDS CLIMATE GOALS. WE PRESENTED THE FIRST FULL PROTOTYPE CLIMATE ACCOUNTING SYSTEM AT THE COP26 AND DEPLOYED A PILOT OF OUR OPENCLIMATE PLATFORM WITH THE BRITISH COLUMBIA GOVERNMENT.
OPENOCEAN - THROUGH RESEARCH AND INNOVATION, WE ARE CREATING ADVANCED DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE TO INCREASE TRANSPARENCY IN OCEAN ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ECOSYSTEM SERVICES, FISHING, RECREATIONAL USE AND ILLEGAL INFRACTIONS.
