STATEMENT OF EXEMPT PURPOSE ACCOMPLISHMENTSTRF SPONSORS AND CONDUCTS CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND SHORT COURSES ADDRESSING AND ENCOURAGING THE ADVANCES IN THE FIELDS OF TRANSDUCERS, SENSORS, MICROSYSTEMS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY. THESE MEETINGS CREATE FORUMS FOR DISCUSSION BY THE WORLDS INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHERS ON THE LATEST STATE-OF-THE-ART TOPICS AND RESEARCH. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THERE WAS ONLY 1 MEETING CONDUCTED IN 2021. THE 21ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOLID-STATE SENSORS, ACTUATORS, AND MICROSYSTEMS (TRANSDUCERS 2021) WAS A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE WITH OVER 750 REGISTRATIONS. AS THIS MEETING WAS A VIRTUAL MEETING, THERE WERE NOT ANY STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS AWARDED. AS THIS WAS THE ONLY MEETING CONDUCTED IN 2021, TRF DID NOT RECEIVE ANY ADDITIONAL TRAVEL GRANT REQUESTS. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT IN 2022 THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL TRAVEL GRANTS REQUESTS ONCE CONFERENCES ARE AGAIN BEING CONDUCTED IN THE MEMS COMMUNITY.
