ANNUAL MEETING: MEMBERS CONVENE IN A VIRTUAL MEETING TO LEARN ABOUT THE LATEST SCIENTIFIC UPDATES IN GENOMICS, PARTICIPATE IN LARGE AND SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS, AND FOSTER INTERLABORATORY INTERACTIONS AND SCIENTIFIC/EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATIONS TO ADVANCE PATIENT CARE AND FURTHER THE STUDY OF PERSONALIZED MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS. THE ANNUAL MEETING PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR VENDORS TO BE RECOGNIZED, PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, AND TO INTERACT WITH ATTENDEES.
RESEARCH PROJECTS: MEMBERS FROM ACADEMIC MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORIES WHO HAVE THE INTEREST, CAPACITY, AND EXPERTISE TO PARTICIPATE IN GENOMICS TESTING CONDUCT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES. SURVEYS FOR FEASIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION OF MEMBER LABS IN THE ORGANIZATION WERE DEVELOPED AND LAUNCHED. TWELVE MEMBER LABS THAT QUALIFIED WERE POTENTIALLY INTERESTED IN CHARACTERIZING THE METHODS OF TESTING AND ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS MUTATIONS (BIOMARKERS) IN NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER CASES THAT WILL BE RETROSPECTIVELY COMPILED AND ANALYZED IN AGGREGATE AMONG THE QUALIFYING LABORATORIES. PROTOCOL DEVELOPMENT WAS INITIATED BY TWO PRINCIPAL RESEARCH INVESTIGATORS WITH THE GOAL OF IMPLEMENTING THE RESEARCH IN 2023.
