THE HAMILTON COUNTY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION (HCSF) WAS FORMED TO CULTIVATE PHILANTHROPY IN SUPPORT OF THE STRATEGIC INITIATIVES OF HAMILTON COUNTY SCHOOLS, THE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IN HAMILTON COUNTY, TENNESSEE. THE MISSION OF HCSF IS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND EXCELLENCE FOR ALL STUDENTS THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE MOBILIZATION OF RESOURCES, RELATIONSHIPS, AND INNOVATION. ACTIVITY AREAS ALIGN WITH THE STRATEGIC FOCUS AREAS OF HAMILTON COUNTY SCHOOLS AND INCLUDE ACCELERATING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT, INNOVATION, GREAT TEACHERS AND LEADERS, AND ENGAGED COMMUNITY.

ACCELERATING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT: HCS LITERACY OFFICER - FUNDING FOR LITERACY OFFICER AT HAMILTON COUNTY SCHOOLS. LITERACY WORK WILL SUPPORT THE DISTRICT'S STRATEGIC PLAN, INCLUDING THE FOCUS PERFORMANCE TARGET TO HAVE AT LEAST 50% OF ALL THIRD GRADE STUDENTS SCORING PROFICIENT OR ADVANCED AS MEASURED BY THE TN READY ELA ASSESSMENT. SUMMER REACH PROGRAM - AT NO COST TO FAMILIES, REACH PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH SUMMER FUN AND LEARNING WITH FRIENDS AT 32 SCHOOL SITES ACROSS HAMILTON COUNTY. SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO REINFORCE LEARNING FROM THE JUST COMPLETED SCHOOL YEAR AND TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR. TN SCORE PROJECT. MY MINUTES MATTER. MATH MATTERS. MOBILE LEARNING LABS. DIRECT SCHOOL SUPPORT. COMMUNITY SCHOOLS WITH NONPROFIT PARTNER.
