TRANSYLVANIA VOCATIONAL SERVICES IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING QUALITY EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING, RESIDENTIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND DISADVANTAGES.

TRANSYLVANIA VOCATIONAL SERVICES' PROGRAMS AND SERVICES INCLUDE VOCATIONAL EVALUATION, WORK ADJUSTMENT TRAINING, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT WITH LONG-TERM SERVICES, ADULT DEVELOPMENTAL VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND LIFE SKILLS ADULT DAY ACTIVITIES PROGRAMS. DURING THE YEAR, THERE WERE 242 CLIENTS SERVED IN THESE PROGRAMS.10 PEOPLE IN THE WORK TRAINING PROGRAM WERE PLACED ON JOBS AND 10 REACHED THE GOAL OF 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. 16 PEOPLE WERE PLACED ON A JOB THROUGH THE SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM AND 10 PEOPLE REACHED THE 90 DAY EMPLOYMENT GOAL. OUR PRE EMPLOYMENT TRANSISTION SERVICES SERVED 154 CLIENTS.JOB PLACEMENTS WERE MADE AT 26 DIFFERENT BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY. PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITIONS SERVICES ENROLLED 154 STUDENTS IN 7 HIGH SCHOOLS. 16 PEOPLE WERE SERVED IN THE LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM. INTERACT SERVED 24 INDIVIDUALS. SURVEYS OF PERSONS SERVED AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS SUCH AS COMMUNITY AGENCIES AND EMPLOYERS INDICATED SATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY TVS. PERSONS SERVED HAD A WIDE RANGE OF DISABILITIES INCLUDING PHYSICAL, MENTAL RETARDATION, MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, AND OTHER BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT.
