EDUCATION PROGRAM - ECN PURPOSE BELIEVES IN THE IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTATIVE CARE AND EYE HEALTH EDUCATION, ESPECIALLY IN A TIME THAT DIGITAL DEVICES ARE SO PROMINENT. MOST INDIVIDUALS DO NOT REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE EYE EXAMS PLAY IN OUR OVERALL HEALTH. WE HELP EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR IN HOUSE PRODUCED EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS, SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNEL EDUCATIONAL POSTINGS, AND FREE DOWNLOADABLE AND PRINTABLE INFORMATION ON OUR WEBSITE REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE TAKING CARE OF YOUR EYES AND REGULAR EYE CARE. WE HOPE TO EDUCATE THROUGH DIRECT LESSONS AND ACTIVITIES AT SCHOOLS, FOSTER PROGRAMS, SENIOR CENTERS, AND AT HEALTH FAIRS.
MOBILE EYE EXAMS - ECN PURPOSE IS PLANNING A PROGRAM TO PROVIDE MOBILE EYE EXAMS. THIS PROGRAM WILL BE THROUGH EITHER A COMPLETE MOBILE VAN OR MOBILE EQUIPMENT THAT CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE LOCATION WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH TO OFFER FREE OR REDUCED COST EYE EXAMS TO THE UNDERSERVED. SPECIFIC LOCATIONS WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON OUR PARTNERS IN THE COMMUNITY, GRANTS AVAILABLE, AND WHERE OUR PROGRAMS WILL SERVE BEST THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.
