Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE PLAYERS ALLIANCE PARTNERED WITH PULL UP NEIGHBOR, A BLACK-OWNED COMMUNITY RESPONSE TEAM, TO PULL UP TO IN-NEED BLACK COMMUNITIES ACCROSS THE COUNTRY, PROVIDING THE RESOURCES THEY NEED, LIKE FOOD, AID, COMFORTS, AND ACCESS TO EQUIPMENT AND SPACES TO PLAY BASEBALL. OUR PROGRAM INCLUDED MORE THAN 150 MLB PLAYERS SERVING OVER 20,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS ACROSS 33 CITIES AS PART O A CROSS-COUNTRY MOBILE TOUR.
UNFORTUNATELY, JUST WANTING TO PLAY BASEBALL IS NOT ENOUGH-ONE OF THE MOST CRUCIAL ELEMENTS IS THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PLAY THE GAME. THE GEAR FOR GOOD PROGRAM IS SUPPORTED BY MLB, MLBPA, MLB CLUBS AND CORPORATE PARTNERS TO COLLECT AND DISTRIBUTE BASEBALL EQUIPMENT TO HELP POWER UP HUNDREDS OF BLACK COMMUNITIES AND BASEBALL TEAMS ACCROSS THE COUNTRY WITH THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO PLAY OUR GAME.
THIS PLAYERS ALLIANCE PROGRAM, UNLIKE ANY MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS, IS FULLY OPERATED BY OUR PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE COMMITTEE MEMBERS, DEDICATED TO USING THEIR PERSONAL TIME TO INSPIRE AND SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION OF BLACK PLAYERS STARTING AT A YOUNG AGE IN OUR GAME. SOME WILL MAKE IT TO THE BIG SHOW, SOME WILL BE OUR FUTURE FRONT-OFFICE LEADERS AND OTHERS WILL BE OUR BIGGEST FANS, BUT ALL OF THEM WILL REPRESENT THE FUTURE OF THE BLACK POPULATION IN BASEBALL.
