HOME HEALTH CARE IS A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH SERVICES TO SELECTED PATIENTS WHO CAN BE CARED FOR AT HOME, THUS REDUCING THE EXPENSE ASSOCIATED WITH HOSPITALIZATION, AND ALLOWING PATIENTS TO BE TREATED IN THE COMFORT AND FAMILIARITY OF THEIR OWN HOMES. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE SKILLED NURSING, THERAPIES (PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH), MEDICAL SOCIAL SERVICES AND HOME HEALTH AIDES. THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES SUCH AS IMMUNIZATIONS, HEALTH CHECKS, SCREENINGS AND CLINICS REGARDLESS OF AN INDIVIDUALS ABILITY TO PAY.
