2020 WAS THE STARTUP YEAR FOR THE ORGANIZATION. ACHIEVING FINANCIAL SECURITY (AFS) IS A COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM PROVIDING FINANCIAL EDUCATION TO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. AFS PROGRAMS BEGAN IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY AND WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE THE BLACK COMMUNITY. HOWEVER, THE SCOPE OF AFS HAS BROADENED TO FOCUS ON THE 80% OF AMERICAN HOUSEHOLD WHO DO NOT ACTIVELY ENGAGE WITH FINANCIAL SERVICE PROFESSIONALS.OUTREACH PROGRAMS WERE LAUNCHED IN PHILADELPHIA, PA, HARTFORD, CT, WASHINGTON, DC, ROCHESTER, NY, GREENSBORO, NC, NEW ORLEANS, LA AND BOSTON, MA. THE FOUNDATION PLANS TO FOCUS ITS PROGRAMS IN CONNECTICUT.

PIPELINE COLLEGE MINORITY RECRUITMENT AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (PIPELINE) IS AN ENRICHMENT PROGRAM DESIGNED TO BRING MINORITY STUDENTS INTO THEFINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY. TODAY MINORITY MEANS BLACK STUDENTS. THAT DEFINITION BROADEN TO ANY MINORITY DEPENDING ON THE DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE POPULATION AROUND A PARTICULAR UNIVERSITY. PIPELINE HAS DELIVERED PROOF OF CONCEPT AT WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY IN DETROIT, ML, EXPANDING FROM AN ACCOUNTANT FOCUSED PROGRAM INTO AN EXPANDED OFFERING OF FINANCIAL POSITIONS. TILE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN THE PILOT PROGRAM HAS GROWN FOUR FOLD FROM 15STUDENTS TO 60 STUDENTS.THE PIPELINE PROGRAM AROSE IN JANUARY, 2018 WHEN THREE AFRICAN AMERICAN FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS BECAME RESPECTIVELY, THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE SOCIETY OF FINANCIAL SERVICE PROFESSIONALS, THE FINANCIAL PLANNING ASSOCIATION, AND WOMEN IN INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL SERVICES, THEY USED THEIR JOINT PLATFORM TO HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY.
